Heather Michelle Mellons, age 44 of Kingsport, entered into eternal life on Monday, May 7, 2018 at UT Medical Center. Heather was born on June 6, 1973 in Kingsport, TN to Michael and Patricia Mellons. Heather’s smile and loving character will be missed by all who loved her.

Heather loved her life and taking family trips to the beach. She enjoyed reading, bingo, making crafts, playing pool in the local APA, and singing karaoke. Heather always looked forward to going on long shopping trips with her mother and sister and spending time with her grandson and family. Heather took pride in giving care to her loved ones in need. She was known for putting others’ needs before her own; and at the end of her life here on earth, she gave the ultimate gift of organ donation so that others may continue to live on. Heather was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas Edward and Charlene Mellons; maternal grandparents, Robert and Pauline Christian; her uncles, Ronnie Christian, Wesley Allen, and Tommy Mellons; and cousins, Anthony Nelson and Wayne Mellons. Left to cherish Heather’s memory are her son, Michael Quiggle and his wife Brittany; her parents, Michael “Duane” and Patricia “Patty” Mellons; her fiancé, Jerry Lee Williams; the father of her son, Wes Quiggle; grandson, Riley Allen Quiggle; sister, Kimberly Brook Hickman and husband Shane; uncles, Mark Mellons and wife Sue, and Danny Christian and wife Mary; aunts, Rachel Weber, Angela Allen, and Cathi Alsop; two nephews, Ryder, and Chase; two nieces, Marley, and Maci; and a host of loving cousins, special friends, and her beloved fur baby, “Ziggy”. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of Heather’s life will be held at 7:00 pm with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating. Burial services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Garden of Apostles at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Mellons, Bobby Weber, Mark Mellons, Wes Quiggle, Edward Moody, and Scott Starke. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dickie Starke and Jacob Castle. This was one of the funniest nights we had was the fair one year we got the guys out and had a blast! She just loved to go to the fair and the animals! And she especially loved the upside down rollercoaster gosh how imma miss her I wish I hadn’t lost contact but here and there we use to be so so close 😭

Hard to believe your gone Heather. We been friends for 30 years. We been thru alot over the years. We cried alot and laughed alot. I'll never forget the memories we shared. Goin to the lake, going to the mall, goin out on weekends and prom. I'll never forget u. May u rest in peace. Until we c u again. Love u my friend. My tears shed for u but I know ur an angel watching over us.

I will never forget our memories together from the past 30 years. We had been thru alot all these years. Going to prom, lake, going out Friday and Saturday nights. We had alot of fun. Heather Michelle Mellons was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Heather will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
