Heather Michelle Mellons, age 44 of Kingsport, entered into eternal life on Monday, May 7, 2018 at UT Medical Center. Heather was born on June 6, 1973 in Kingsport, TN to Michael and Patricia Mellons. Heather’s smile and loving character will be missed by all who loved her.
Heather loved her life and taking family trips to the beach. She enjoyed reading, bingo, making crafts, playing pool in the local APA, and singing karaoke. Heather always looked forward to going on long shopping trips with her mother and sister and spending time with her grandson and family. Heather took pride in giving care to her loved ones in need. She was known for putting others’ needs before her own; and at the end of her life here on earth, she gave the ultimate gift of organ donation so that others may continue to live on.
Heather was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas Edward and Charlene Mellons; maternal grandparents, Robert and Pauline Christian; her uncles, Ronnie Christian, Wesley Allen, and Tommy Mellons; and cousins, Anthony Nelson and Wayne Mellons. Left to cherish Heather’s memory are her son, Michael Quiggle and his wife Brittany; her parents, Michael “Duane” and Patricia “Patty” Mellons; her fiancé, Jerry Lee Williams; the father of her son, Wes Quiggle; grandson, Riley Allen Quiggle; sister, Kimberly Brook Hickman and husband Shane; uncles, Mark Mellons and wife Sue, and Danny Christian and wife Mary; aunts, Rachel Weber, Angela Allen, and Cathi Alsop; two nephews, Ryder, and Chase; two nieces, Marley, and Maci; and a host of loving cousins, special friends, and her beloved fur baby, “Ziggy”.
