Helen Hunt Bachman, age 73 of Kingsport, entered into rest on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center. Mrs. Bachman was a Sullivan County native, and the daughter of the late Vernon and Laura Hunt. She was a graduate of Sullivan High School and was a member of Holy Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Bachman was previously employed as a preschool teacher for First Baptist First Friends Preschool. She enjoyed cooking, working with her flowers and spending time with her family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Howard Hunt, Wayne Hunt and Hubert Hunt; a brother-in-law, Lee Crawford and a sister-in-law, Janice Hunt.
Survivors include two sons: Mark Hunt, Frank Bachman and his wife Connie; a daughter, Amy Bachman; grandchildren: Anthony and Shannon Hunt, Julie Bachman and Joel Burke, Nathan and April Bachman and Mary Beth Bachman; great grandchildren: Alice Bachman Burke and Levi and Eli Bachman; brothers: Harold Hunt and his wife Nancy, Herman Hunt and his wife Liz, Hal Hunt and his wife Sherry, Roy Hunt, Steve Hunt and his wife Delores and Stan Hunt; sisters: Wanda Crawford, Libby McNew and her husband Curtis, Gail Dougherty and her husband Charles and sister-in-law, May Hunt.
A Celebration of Life Service for Helen Hunt Bachman will be conducted on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Musick officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in East Lawn Memorial Park. Brothers and Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to assemble in the funeral home chapel by 10:45 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
