Helen M. Bridwell

Helen M. Bridwell, age 82, entered into rest January 9, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born to the late John S. and Gertrude Moody, she was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Glen “Don” Bridwell. She was co-owner of Don’s Marathon and Towing, and was a former employee of Mason-Dixon. Helen was a member of Cassidy United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Steve Bridwell and wife Dianna of Kingsport, Pat Bridwell and wife Dawn of Blountville; four grandchildren, Lindsey Bridwell, Haley Bridwell, Jacob Bridwell and Jared Bridwell; brother- in- law, Charles Bridwell and wife, Juanita; sister-in-law, Eileen Moody; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chuck Griffin officiating. Private graveside services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Cassidy United Methodist Church.
