Jackie Pruitt, 78, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, in the Indian Path Medical Center. Mr. Pruitt was born on August 6, 1935 in Kingsport, Tennessee a son of the late Lester Pruitt and Eva Crawford Dillow. Mr. Pruitt was retired with over 40 years of service from Greif Brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Pruitt and one son, Jeffrey Scott Pruitt.
Mr. Pruitt is survived by one son, Michael Pruitt and wife Vickie of Kingsport, TN; one daughter, Vickie Dingus and husband Roger of Warrenton, VA; and two grandchildren, Zachary Dingus and Nicholas Dingus.
Graveside services for Mr. Jackie Pruitt will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10:00am in the Garden of the Apostles of East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends anytime on Wednesday at the home of Michael Pruitt, 110 Deadrick Drive, Kingsport, TN. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Indian Path Medical Center 7th floor.
