

Janet E. Chesnutt, 86, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2024, at The Blake, Kingsport, Tennessee. She worked at a local bank early in life and then went on to become a Licensed Real Estate Agent for Century 21 Realty for a period of time. She and her late husband, Robert (Bob), were members of Kingsport Community Church for 50+ years. They were also members of the Winsome Sunday School Class. Her late husband served his country in the United States Army, 24th Infantry Division, and was stationed in Germany during the building of the Berlin Wall. Janet traveled across the world, to Germany, to be with Bob during his deployment. Janet loved her family and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her love of music always brought her joy, especially during her favorite time of year which was Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Janet is preceded in death by her late husband of 59 years, Robert Henry Chesnutt; her parents, Ada Beatrice and Charles Berkley Parker; and sisters Patsye Rogers and Charlene Wines.
She is survived by her son, Philip I. Chesnutt, girlfriend April Fillers; daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Rachelle Welch, husband BJ; granddaughter, Whitney Welch; and several nieces and nephews.

A private viewing for Janet will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at East Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, Tennessee 37664. A private family service will occur Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 12:00 PM. A private family burial will occur Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
