

Janice McClellan, age 65 of Kingsport went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at her residence. Janice was a member of Bible Way Baptist Church for 40years, having served on the bus ministry for twenty-eight years. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Janice retired from Tri-Cities Christian School after twenty plus years of service. She loved to serve the Lord and cherished the time that she spent with her family. Janice enjoyed fishing and went every opportunity she had. She used this time as a chance to tell people that she met about her Savior. Janice spent many hours on her porch watching the humming birds feed, which was so relaxing to her.
Mrs. McClellan was preceded in death by her grandson T.J. Barker, her parents Ray and Ellie Irene White, brother Jess White and nephew Terry White.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Bobby C. McClellan, daughter Lora Castle, Ocean City, New Jersey, son and daughter-in-law Eddie and Fredonna McClellan of Kingsport, sister and brother-in-law Linda and Bill McClellan of Kingsport, sister and brother-in-law Rose Lee and Harry Hall, Mount Olive, North Carolina, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Kathy White, Kingsport, brother Ray White Jr. of Kingsport, grand daughter Chelcee McClellan of Kingsport, great grand daughter Faylee Greene, Kingsport, grandson Mike Gustafson, Kingsport, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
The McClellan family will receive friends from 4:00PM.-7:00PM. Monday, October 10, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home with Funeral Services to follow at 7:00PM with Pastors Travis Boling, Robert Fletcher and Brian McClellan officiating. Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday October 11, 2011 in East Lawn Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to assemble at the funeral home by 12:45pm to go in procession to the cemetery. Her nephews from both sides of her family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces from both sides of her family.
