Jean Collins Perry of Fountain City was called home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Perry, her parents, Fred Dexter Collins and Hazel Maples Collins, and her sisters Mary Collins Killian and Martha Collins, and her brother Fred Allen Collins. She leaves behind her son, James Steven Perry and his wife, Beth Perry, as well as her Grandchildren: Rachel Watson (Nolan Watson) and Jameson Perry (Katie Oakley Perry). She also leaves behind her great grandchildren: Levi Watson, John Watson, Dinah Watson, and expected Baby Perry. Jean was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City.
A graveside memorial service for Jean will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 1:00 at Lynnhurst Cemetary in Knoxville.
To know Jean was to know a servant. She was always looking for ways to serve others, most notably through her talents in the kitchen. She never let anyone go hungry. Jean was a very generous person and all who knew her were blessed. We are so thankful for the wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend she was.
