Jeffrey “Jeff” Lynn Forrester, 67, of Kingsport, Tennessee went peacefully to be with our Lord on June 25, 2026. Born on June 9, 1959, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to the late William “Bill” and Patricia “Pat” Forrester. Jeff was raised in Tulsa, where he attended East Central High School before graduating from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
Jeff lived a life rooted in his faith in Jesus Christ, family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He never met a trail he didn’t want to hike or a waterfall he didn’t want to discover. Whether he was camping, hiking, exploring the mountains, or simply enjoying God’s creation, Jeff found peace in nature and loved sharing those adventures with the people he loved. Among those adventures included traveling with life-long friend from college, Larry Gullette of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jeff also dedicated many years of his career to retail management, serving customers and leading teams at Kmart and later Food City. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependable character, and the lasting friendships he built while serving communities throughout Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia.
More than anything, Jeff was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Dana, whom he built a family with that became the greatest joy of his life. He was a loving father to his son, Andrew Forrester and wife Ally, and his daughter, Brynna Meade and husband Ben. His role as “Papa” brought him immeasurable happiness, and he treasured every moment spent with his four grandchildren—Dashiell Meade, Aurora Meade, Julia Forrester, and Ella Meade.
Jeff is also survived by his sister, Candace Baird and husband Kirk, along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and steady presence. Jeff will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 6:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport, Tennessee. Committal services will be Thursday July 9, 2026, 2:00 pm. Those wishing to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M.
East Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park is honored to serve the family of Mr. Jeff Forrester.
