Jessie "Boots" Page Jr., age 75, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Kingsport, Tennessee. Born on March 25, 1950, in Taylorsville, Mississippi, Jessie lived a life marked by quiet strength, sharp wit, and boundless curiosity.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Jessie served his country during the Vietnam War. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of duty and resilience—qualities that would define him throughout his life.
Jessie was a man who could turn his hand to nearly anything. Incredibly intelligent and largely self-taught, he had an uncanny ability to figure things out with determination and a good set of tools. Whether he was fixing something around the house or diving into a new project outdoors, he approached every task with focus and ingenuity. He found joy in nature’s simplicity and spent time outside working or simply soaking in the peace it offered.
At the heart of Jessie’s world was his family. He shared a devoted marriage with his wife, of 30 years, Betty Page, and took immense pride in their daughter, Erika Page. His loyalty and humor were constants in their lives—his presence always brought warmth and unexpected delight. Jessie’s independent spirit and unwavering care left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
He is also remembered with love by his sister Ida Harris; brothers Thomas Page and Richard Page; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces who cherished his wisdom and company.
Jessie now joins those who passed before him: his father Jessie Page Sr., mother Ida Mae Page, brother Howard Page, sister Linda Crosby, and his grandparents.
A man of faith, Jessie was of the Christian Baptist tradition—a foundation that guided his values and actions throughout life.
Though he has departed this world, Jessie’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the love he gave so freely, and the memories held dear by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
