John graduated from UT with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired from Kingsport Heating and Air Conditioning in 2017 after 25 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed watching UT football, Atlanta Braves, traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hardin; and father-in-law, Steve Carroll.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 44 years, Sandra Hardin; daughter, Elizabeth Lemons & husband Floyd; twin sons, Wes Hardin & wife Leslie and Chris Hardin; eight grandchildren, Jay, Jacob, Sami, Dani, Gabe, Tyler, Zain, and Lyla; two great-grandchildren, Jace and Isabella; two brothers, Charles and Jim Hardin; one sister, Pat Smith; mother-in-law, Jenelle Carroll; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will greet guests and share memories on Thursday (August 23, 2018) from 6 to 8 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Hancock officiating.
