He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Vicars Peavler, sisters, Laura Ann Peavler and Peggy Lynn Peavler Woods, his mother, Mary Ruth Lane Peavler and his father, John H. Peavler, Sr.
John is survived by his sister, Penny Roller, one daughter, Wendy Whorton (and husband John). One son, Justin Peavler (and wife Amy). Grandchildren Ashley Vaughan (and husband Andrew), Jared Hope, McKenzie Bishop (and husband Will), Cadence Peavler, and Drew Peavler. One great-granddaughter, Delfina Vaughan. As well as several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 5:00 PM followed by a service at 7pm at East Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, Tennessee 37664. A burial will occur Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM At East LAwn Memorial Park.
