When I saw the notice of John's passing I thought about the renewing of our friendships from Dorchester a few years ago. My Mother Audrey was thrilled to see John and his family at our get togethers. Mother always called him "John Henry". They both shared the memory of him getting in coal and wood for her.
When John came to my house with Todd I enjoyed it so much. His personality and memories meant so much to my family.
There is no way to describe the warmth of someone who shared something in common with us.
Martha, I am so sorry for your loss. You are blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Martha and Family,

We are so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was always such a joy to be around. Mom and Dad surely thought a lot of him. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Martha, I'm sorry to hear of John's passing. I still remember John and you at Trader's Village, John always had that smile on his face. Love Shelby

My fondest memory of John (my best friend’s father), would be of him talking to my Katie and giving her the nick name Katie-did. She was a very curious kid, and he recognized that immediately in her. I remember the smiles on both of their faces at the time. It’s a nick name that I have used many times over the years.
