Jose Tavarez

Jose Tavarez, age 51 of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Tavarez was a native of Jalisco, Mexico, and had lived in the Kingsport area since 2000. Mr. Tavarez was a cook at LA Carreta Mexican Restaurant and attended Siempre Goz Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agapita Tavarez.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Juana Tavarez; sons: Jose Juan Tavarez and Emanuel Tavarez; daughters: Teresa Tavarez, Christina Tavarez, Ester Tavarez and Ruth Tavarez; father, Moises Tavarez; brothers: Jesus Tavarez, Martin Tavarez, Norberto Tavarez and Carmelo Tavarez; sister, Maria Tavarez; grandmother, Cenaida Garcia, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. A Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor Miguel Marias, officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
