

Julia Anna Carr, age 96 of Kingsport, Tennessee, entered into rest on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Wexford House in Kingsport. She was born in Scott County, Virginia and the daughter of the late Echol and Alice Bowen. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker. She attended Kingsport Methodist Church. Other than her parents, Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Carr in 2001, a son Jack Carr in 2003, sisters Mabel Vicars, Kate Jeter, Lula Harris, Rebecca Smith and Ruth Trent; brother, Arthur Bowen and daughter-in-law, Ina Faye Carr.
Survivors include: one son, Jimmie Carr and wife Fay, grandchildren: Tim Carr and wife Cynthia, Phoebe Johnson and husband Jerry, and Gina Hawkins and husband Michael; step-grandchildren: David Kennedy and wife Susan, Alice Weaver and husband John, Billy Kennedy and wife Lisa and Teddy Kennedy and wife Lea; great-grandchildren: Matthew Fauver, Gabriel Fauver, Andrew Hawkins, Emileah Hawkins, Kyra Hawkins, Reece Carr, Lily Kate Carr and Avery Carr; step great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Adam, Gavin and Autumn; and one great-great step grandchild, Kennedy Rae; sisters: Maude Sproles, June Wilson and Jo Christian.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Carr will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Manis and Minister Max Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 12:30 pm in East Lawn Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 12:15 pm. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
