June Caroline Carter

June Caroline Carter, age 78, of Kingsport, entered into rest November 21, 2013 at Wexford House. June was a lifelong native of Kingsport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Hobert Fannon and Grace Mae Lawson Fannon; husband, W. Neal Carter; sisters, Ruth Mowell, Eula Galloway, Clara Gilreath; brothers, Charlie Fannon. June was an LPN and retired with more than 20 years of service with Indian Path Medical Center. She was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. June was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a loving mother and grandmother. June was an avid Braves fan and loved the great outdoors.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Anderson, Mark Anderson; two daughters, Rita Anderson Payne and husband Scott, all of Kingsport; Becky Anderson Vest and husband Steve of Blountville; grandchildren, Mandy Rupe, Jesse English, Holli Hensley and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow in the chapel with Deacon Mike Bays officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Danny Goodman, Johnny Peters, Rob Joyner, Brandon Carter, Robbie Carter, Jessie English, and Scott Payne.
