I am confused about how I feel, Im sad grandmom you are gone but I know you are in a better place with no pain and with Grandpa.. You have alot of love and one day I will see you again. I remember you always in the kitchen and and your yummy goolash.. I miss you..I wish I got to see you more.. RIP Grandmom I Love You

I am one of the grandkids that have been in Katherine Guinn's life from the time I was born, even after everyone moved off and started their family just like I did, I always found away to get back to where I knew I was loved, in the arms of my grandma and my mother... Grandma always smiled at me and my 3 children as soon as we walked in the front door with excitement to see us... Grandma was a loving, understanding grandma with me when she raised me, I knew I could count on her if I felt I didnt have anyone else to count on, there was my grandmother to put on arm around me and tell me she loved me and always cooking me food... My mom took care of grandma for years and in my heart my mom shouldnt be sad but feel the calmness in her heart because grandma was treated like a princess and mom was the queen,without mom, grandma would not of been so spoiled and spoiled grandma was having the love and unconditional love that my mother showed for her own mother even when grandma would say things that upset mom because grandma was in pain. I am the person I am today because of my grandmom and of course my mother and although I am sad and will cry, I know I was loved dearly and my granmom is in a better place with wonderful people.. Last thing, funny I remember.. Grandmom nickname was always Cat, I lived with my grandmom off ond on my entire life and one time, I thought well if everyone else calls grandmom "Cat", why cant I so I got the nerve up to do it, I walked up to grandmom and to talk to her and my first word out of my mouth was "Cat", WOW, I never knew my grandmom could run, I never called her "Cat" again... Grandmom always thought you would live forever, rest in peace with no nore pain... "I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH!!! TINA

Memory is a gift of God that death cannot destroy.  I have plenty of memories of my grandma but the one that has always come to thought is, her in the kitchen.  I was little no older than six and I can remember seeing grandma cooking breakfast early in the morning smelling the gravy and sausage, listening to Country Gospel. 
 
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see.  Singing by Ralph Stanley, which brings tears as I write this.
