Ken retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 34 years of service. He loved God, his family, and his church and enjoyed his contributions to it such as being on the mowing team which he called his ministry. He fulfilled the role of chairman of transportation for a few years and dedicated his time as a driver to church functions and events. Ken also loved Tennessee sports and NASCAR.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Hattie Mae Pate, and sister Nancy Hood.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Brenda, as well as his son Rand of California, his son Rob, and his wife Yvette of Kingsport. Also two grandchildren, Candace Hobbs and Felecia Beckwith, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Billie Pate of Nashville, and Mary Yarnell of Jefferson City, and special niece Mary Oney along with several nieces and nephews.
