

Orville Leonard Harless, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior during the evening hours of Sunday (August 21, 2016). Leonard was born January 16, 1939 in Kingsport to the late Monroe & Bess (Scalf) Harless.
Leonard enjoyed watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Leonard was a member of Depews Chapel Methodist Church for over 50 years. Leonard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Harless.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Anthony “Charlie” Harless & wife Valerie and Wendell Harless; granddaughter, Kristy Harless; sister, Louise Murray & husband Kyle; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday (August 25, 2016) from 6 to 8 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Ware officiating. Committal services will be held Friday morning (August 26, 2016) at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Peace at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Cox, Keith Cox, Greg Cox, Brian Cox, Coy Crawford, and Conley Ramey.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Depews Chapel Methodist Church (2950 Reservoir Road Kingsport, TN 37660). The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Preston Place and Wexford House for the compassionate care and love given to Leonard during his illness.
