Lillie Hurt Jackson

Lillie Hurt Jackson, 92, of Kingsport went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 17th, 2013 at Wexford House following an extended illness. Lillie was born May 1, 1921 in Scott Co. Virginia to Dan and Dora Wood Hurt. She resided in Kingsport and Church Hill since her early teen years. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Church Hill. Lillie was preceded in death by her husband Leonard C. Jackson and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Leon and wife Shirley; two granddaughters, Lisa Sadeghi and husband Alain of Kingsport, Leigh Cash and husband James of Los Alamos, NM; one great-granddaughter, Mina L. Sadeghi also of Kingsport; two sisters, Lou V. Barnett of Alexandria, VA, Galena Hurt of Larchmont, NY; one brother, Dan Hurt and wife Betty of Chuckey; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the entire staff of Wexford House, especially the Restorative Group. Graveside services will be held today at 1:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park, with Dr. Edward Dillow officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
