Lois Nell (Hill) Bowen

Lois Nell Bowen, 87, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the evening hours of Thursday (September 10, 2020) following an extended illness. Lois was born on August 19, 1933 in Duffield, VA to the late Emory & Lucy (Kern) Hill.

Lois retired from Sevier Middle School Cafeteria after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She lived her life for her Lord and Savior. She attended Sunrise Baptist Church before her declining health prevented her from doing so. Lois enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Manson Bowen; several brothers; and several sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Gary Bowen & wife Kim; six granddaughters; several great grandchildren; several great- great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Lois will be laid to rest on Tuesday (September 15, 2020) in the Garden of Hope at East Lawn Memorial Park with Bro. Vernon McDavid officiating.

My mamaw was the best!! I remember she would give us plane rides on her legs, all the amazing food she would cook, and just her always being there for us!! I love you mamaw!! 💜 you are home now!! Rejoice!!
