

Lois Jean Cox Haney, 77, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 9, 2011. As a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, we as her family, will miss her greatly. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, and throughout her life spent many hours caring for others. God has truly blessed us!
Lois was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Vernon Cox, her husband, Crawford “C.B.” Haney, son, Marvin Cox, grandson, Shane Wilson, her parents, Haskel and Reva Cox, brothers, Morris Cox, Bobbie D. Cox, Kenneth S. Cox. She is survived by daughter, Brenda Wilson and husband Bobby, four sons, Melvin Cox and wife, Tina, Larry Cox and wife Lisa, Michael Haney, Jim Haney, daughter, Sigrid LeGrand, brothers, Cletis Cox and wife Shelby, Jimmy Cox and wife Dianne, sister, Phyllis Harris and husband Bill, sister in law, Wanda Cox, grandchildren, Amber Wilson, Trent Wilson and wife Amber, Tennille Wines and husband Bobby, Tisha Cox, Bridget Galloway and husband Daniel, Sadie Cox, Erica Haney, great-granddaughters, Jersey and Rylee, great-grandson, Cavin, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services being held at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. officiating will be Dr. Edward C. Dillowe. The family will also receive friends at the residence of Melvin and Tina Cox. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at East Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tn.
