

Lyle Horner
Lyle Horner, age 79 of Kingsport died peacefully at Indian Path Medical Center with his wife and children by his side.
Lyle was born March 4, 1932 in Mosheim, Tennessee to the late Waldo and Edith Horner. He had resided in Kingsport for most of his life. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict. Lyle was of the Methodist faith and a member of The Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3141 having served as past president. He retired from Eastman Kodak Company after 41 ½ years of service. He was an avid golfer; enjoyed making music with his family; working on the farm, and a helpful friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold Horner and Ray Horner and infant granddaughter, Amy Suzette.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Patsy Horner. Children; Mike Horner and wife Julie and Phil Horner and wife Melissa all of Kingsport and Donna Light and husband Andy, Gray, TN. Grandchildren; Kris Wilson, Josh Horner, Kari Durnin, Alex Horner and Sarah Beth Horner. Great-grandchildren; Emma Wilson and Luke Lett. Sisters; Helen Turnmire and Shirley Hawkins. Sister-in-law, Ruth Horner. Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends anytime at the home and Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 6-8 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 PM with Rebecca Prenshaw, niece of Mr. Horner, officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM, in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Josh Horner, Kris Wilson, Travis Durnin, Andy Light, Jody Walker and Raymond Horton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Patrick, George Patrick, Charles Worley, Larry Horne, Sam Hawkins, Jim Turnmire, his golfing buddies and The Fraternal Order of The Eagles #3141 friends.
