

Madelyn Radford Wilson, age 81 peacefully passed away on Monday, September 11th surrounded by family. Madelyn was born in Marshal, North Carolina and was the daughter of Oliver and Christine (Hensley) Radford who preceded her in death. Madelyn worked as a cosmetologist alongside her mother in Swannanoa, North Carolina before moving to East Tennessee with her husband Joseph Paul Wilson Sr, who also preceded her in death. In her later years she worked as a dietary aid at Greystone. Madelyn was a past member of the Eastern Star Blountville Chapter and a member of Charity Baptist Church.
She was a lover of all sports but could always be found watching her UT Vols play on college football Saturdays.
She leaves behind a daughter, Camille Yvette Wilson Waye of Blountville, a son and daughter in law, Joseph Paul Wilson Jr (Stephany Wilson) of Jonesboro, three granddaughters, Samantha, Ella, and Kallie Jo, and a grandson, Conner Waye. Madelyn became Gran to all who knew her and created a legacy of love, generosity, and enduring faith that brightened the lives of everyone around her.
Visitation for Madelyn will be held Friday, September 15th from 6-8pm at Eastlawn Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at the graveside Saturday, September 16th at 2pm.
