Madison Lynne Broome, 17, entered into the arms of Jesus during the late evening hours of Saturday (October 13, 2018) surrounded by her loving family. Maddie was born on November 30, 2000 in Kingsport, TN to Charles & Christina Broome.
Maddie was a senior at Central High School where she had many friends. She was a young lady of many talents that loved to play the piano, sing, and paint. She grew up attending Beulah Baptist Church and Fordtown Church where she was a member of the choir. Maddie truly had a servant’s heart; she always put others before herself, and loved helping and listening to others. Maddie will be greatly missed by all.
Maddie was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James Broome; and maternal grandmother, Diana Short.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Christy Broome; father, Charlie Broome; two brothers, Steven Lawrence & girlfriend Miranda and Daniel Baker; two sisters, Lacy Grady & husband Belcher and Dana Key; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Broome; maternal grandfather, Howard Key & wife Sandy; aunt and uncle, JT & wife Laura Broome; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The family will greet guests and share memories on Thursday (October 18, 2018) from 5 to 8 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 8 p.m. with Pastor Al South officiating.
Committal services will be held on Friday (October 19, 2018) at noon in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Al South officiating. Maddie will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Mausoleum at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Lawrence, Charles Broome, JT Broome, Daniel Baker, Belcher Grady, Robert Cantor, and David Cantor.
