Margaret Barnette

Margaret Barnette, age 84, met her Savior face to face on Sunday, December 31, 2017. She was born on December 14, 1933 in Scott County, Virginia to the late Woodrow and Estelle McConnell Robinette. On August 31, 1950 she was wed to the late Ervin Barnette and to this union three sons and two daughters were born. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her son Henry Barnette. She was a devout Christian and a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church, where she enjoyed spending time with the Seniors Ministry. She also loved reading, watching television and walking on the beach.

Margaret is survived by her two sons: Richard Barnette of Blountville, Tennessee and David Barnette of Cleveland, Tennessee; two daughters: Deborah Holman and husband Erwin of Blountville, Tennessee and Billie Barnette of Yulee, Florida; one sister: Sue Robinette of Kingsport; four grandchildren: Jonathan Holman, Benjamin Holman, Sarah Holman and Fallon Barnette; six great-grandchildren: Heather, Christopher, Peter, Emily, Matthew and Samuel Holman.

You are invited to a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral at 2:30 P.M. at East Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Phillips officiating. Her earthly body will be laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends and Family will be serving as pallbearers.
