

Martha Ann Horton, age 71, entered into eternal rest at her residence, February 2, 2014 after a brief and courageous battle of pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her husband and daughters as she received her angel’s wings. Ann was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a graduate of the class of 1960 from Ketron High School. She was a fifty plus year member of Indian Springs Baptist Church. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Grace Cannon Church. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Raymond Horton of Kingsport, daughters, Lisa Stremsterfer and husband Alan of Alcoa, TN, Pat Sterling and husband Bob of Knoxville, TN, Vicki Wilson and husband Jeff of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Ben Sterling, Dusty Sterling both of Knoxville, Brandon Stremsterfer of Alcoa, Ashley Duty and husband Dustin of Kingsport; one great-granddaughter, Laura Duty; one brother, James Church and wife Stella of Kingsport; two sisters, Revonda Chapman and husband Bill of Pigeon Forge, Esther Stewart of Kingsport; special lifelong friends, Dennis and Macie Adkins of Blountville. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Indian Springs Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at the church with Dr. Roc Collins officiating.
