God waited patiently as her children and grandchildren gathered around her to tell her we loved her and say our goodbyes, before He took her by the hand and led her to the promise land. Martha Marie Taylor age 81 of Kingsport went to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Marie left behind to cherish her memories: her daughters, Janie Surcey “The love of her life” and husband Mark of Gray, Joy Shell and husband Jim of Hampton; sons, Richard Taylor of Kingsport and Fred Taylor of Mountain City; her beloved grandchildren Brandy Shell of Hamilton, Ohio and Logun Shell of Hampton, TN; and great-grandchildren Mason Kyler Shell and Taylor Shell. Marie is further survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Taylor and one daughter, Mary Hurt.
