On October 18, 2010, our precious little angel, Mason Matthew Darnell, was born. Just a few moments after his birth, he went to his Heavenly home to be with Jesus. Though he was here for only a brief time, he filled our hearts with a lifetime of love.

Left to cherish Mason’s memory are his loving parents Mark and Rachel Darnell, of Kingsport and their dog Sophie who would have been Mason’s best friend and “big sister.” He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Bobby and Jean Hamilton of Kingsport; paternal Grandparents; Fred and Myrtle Darnell of Gate City, VA; Uncles and Aunts Steven Hamilton and Amanda Lockman of Kingsport; Joe and Dana Darnell of Gate City, VA; Shane Darnell of Gate City, VA; and a very special cousin Bree Darnell of Gate City, VA. Mason is also survived by two Great-Grandmothers, Rosa Tankersley and Juanita Hamilton.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Will Shewey officiating.
