

Michael Wayne “Pee Wee” Harr of Kingsport, departed this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida being 58 years, 11 months and 23 days of age. Mike was born on April 26, 1958 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Howard Harr and Judy Vanzant Harr. On April 25, 1992 he married the love of his life Gina Rollow Harr. Mike was a guy who just loved life. He didn’t waste his time, but he spent it living life to the fullest. Mike was always smiling and laughing because as he always said “People have more fun than anybody”. He was an all-around great guy. He could often be found tinkering in his garage or watching a NASCAR race on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Mike was an avid golfer and dedicated UT Football fan. Whether he was trading or out riding his Harley Motorcycle, Pee Wee did everything with zeal and passion. His friends often said “He was built low to the ground for all speed and no control!” Mike had an eye for treasure, and often could be found picking or at an auction. Mike had a big heart and simply loved to help people. He will truly be missed!
In addition to his parents, Mike leaves behind to honor his legacy, his loving and devoted wife of 25 years Gina Harr; daughter, Derika Harr of Estero, Florida; brother, Gary Harr and wife Marty of Gainesville, Georgia; godson, Nehamiah Bowman and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mike Harr will be conducted on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00PM in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Hopkins officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Hope at East Lawn Memorial Park 4997 Memorial Drive Kingsport, TN 37664 with Johnny Harr, Tommy Ashbrook, David Ashbrook, Stanley Jeter, Michael Jeter and Logan Harr serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 12:00PM until the funeral hour at 2:00PM at the funeral home.
