Michael Steven McGuire

Michael Steven McGuire, 44, entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 25, 2015 to await His promised coming. Mr. McGuire was born on August 13, 1970 in Kingsport, Tennessee. He graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School, was an accomplished roofer and attended the Bays Mountain Baptist Church. Mr. McGuire was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa White McGuire; paternal grandparents, Kyle E. and Willie L. McGuire, and maternal grandparents, Wallace T. and Sara P. Jackson; and family member Ben Williams.

Survivors include his parents, Michael E. and Mary Ann McGuire, and Mary J. and Richard Haizlip; one daughter, Emily Bellamy Hanson; two sisters, Lisa and Bill Huffman and Mary Catherine McGuire; special brother-in-law, Sammy Hudson; nieces and nephews, Chasity Huffman, Haley Huffman, Christopher Lee Hudson, Chloe G. Hudson, Jaila Dunn, and Elin “The Bean” Williams; and special friend, Marvin Henry.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 30, 2015 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the East Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside Services for Mr. Michael Steven McGuire will follow Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Garden of Apostles at East Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Lester Morelock officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Huffman, Sammy Hudson, Roger Reed, Mitch Reed, Marvin Henry and Joe Brookman. Honorary Pallbearer will be Christopher Lee Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hunger First, 829 Myrtle Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.
