Nancy Lee Taylor

Nancy Lee Taylor, 78, passed away at her residence on Monday (June 11, 2018). Nancy was born on March 15, 1940 in Galax, VA to the late John & Maggie Bowman.

Nancy was a member of the Red Hat Society to which she had many friends. Nancy had a great love for people and her family. She loved to travel, go on various cruises, and spend time with her family and friends. Nancy had a genuine love for life.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Richard Taylor; son, Ronald Isom; sister, Mary Lou Stilley; and brother, James Bowman.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Deborah Peek and Robin Rhea & husband James; son, Fred Isom & wife Ancita; sister, Opal Fleenor; six grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Lauren, Teresa, Sarah, and Richard; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Committal services will be held on Saturday (June 16, 2018) at 3 p.m. in Mausoleum III at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Keith Bowman officiating.

Nancy Lee Taylor was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Nancy will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
