

"Red" was born on June 3, 1949, in Sullivan County, TN. She was a long-time resident of Hawkins County. She was a charter member of Elim Baptist Church for fifty five years, where she served as pastor's wife in the seventies and current assistant treasurer and secretary. "Red" retired from Asbury Centers.
Preceding her in death is her mother, Mae Maness Crawford; one sister Alice Faye Light and her husband of thirty seven years, Lyle E. Houseright.
Survivors include two daughters; Sandy (Cledis) Dearry and Serena (Mike) Kendrick; five grandchildren; Dakota Dearry, Sarah (Conner) Collins, Treyvante, Dazmine and Maliyah Kendrick; two sisters Penny (Tom) Murray and Angie Crawford; three brothers; Tony (Peggy), Scotty (Debbie) and Marty (Karen) Catron; uncle, Jimmy "Bo" Maness; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great-great niece.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5-7PM, at East Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation, at 7 PM, with Pastor Chad Tipton and Preacher David Grubb officiating.
The burial will held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 12 PM, at East Lawn Memorial Park. (All of those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the gravesite)
Serving as Pallbearers will be Cledis Dearry, Mike Kendrick, Clayton Housewright, Byron Bates, Lachlan Hodge, Christopher Jobe and Tim Thacker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Catron, Scotty Catron, Marty Catron, Jimmy Rowlett, Elmer Cross and Larry Manis.
