Patricia Joyce Parris Mason (Pat) our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on October 14, 2020. She was born on October 31, 1931. She blessed this world and all who knew her with years of love and service to her family, church and community.
Pat’s family always came first. She delighted in spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her joy in life was taking care of others. Whenever a family member needed her, she was always there to help. She was a long-time member of Wheeler United Methodist where she spent many hours being a Sunday School teacher, helping in the kitchen, and Girl Scout leader. She loved being a servant to her church and her God.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ray Mason and youngest son, Ben Mason, infant great-grandson, Jordan Christian Morris. Also, preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Mildred Parris, her sister, Carol Parris and brother, Dave Parris.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Barry Evans, and son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Denise Mason, and daughter-in-law, Judy Mason. Six grandchildren: Chris Sharp, Nikki Sharp, Amber Monroe, Dustin Mason, Logan Mason, and Alex Evans; 7 great-grandchildren, Hannah Sharp, Weston Sharp, Hayes Sharp, Ada Monroe, Knox Mason, Nolan Mason, and Amelia Mason; sisters: Peggy Mason and Hattie Bishop; several nieces and nephews
The family will be having a private graveside service at East Lawn Memorial Gardens on Sunday.
