

Pauline Ramsey, 95, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Wexford House in Kingsport. Born on March 12, 1920 in Iron City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Shirley Alexander Smith and Hattie Dixon Smith. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Kingsport Community Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and always loved people. In addition to her parents, Shirley Alexander and Hattie Dixon Smith, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coble W. Ramsey; daughter, Patricia Ann Ramsey; sister, Ruth Hawkins; brothers, Winfred Smith, Franklin Smith, Walker Smith, William Smith and Floyd Smith; and son-in-law, Ed Samples. She is survived by her children, Shelby J. Samples; Wanda Thomas and her husband, David; and Coble W. Ramsey and his wife, Martha; grandchildren, Eddie Samples; Jimmy Samples and his wife, Linda; Robbin Stackhouse and her husband, Grant; and Margaret Cloninger and her husband, Kip; great-grandchildren, Alex Stackhouse, Colt Cloninger, Erica Stackhouse, Maci Cloninger, Jessika Samples and Mia Samples; sister, Ella Clayton; brother, Joel Smith; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, June 30, 2015 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with the Reverend Ron Lowe and the Reverend Marshall Steinle officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Garden of the Mausoleum of East Lawn Memorial Park. Flowers are appreciated. Those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the church of one’s choice.
