Peggy Moody passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 93, with her loving family by her side. Peggy was a long-time resident of Kingsport, TN. She was born on August 9, 1933, in Lebanon, VA to the late Cecil and Vella Owens.
Peggy could often be found working in her yard and pulling out the weeds; she was well known for her homemade dinner rolls. She was a lifelong member of Gunning’s Baptist Church. She also was a participant with the King’s Kids at the church, where she was loved by all the children.
Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Moody Jr.; parents, Cecil and Vella Owens; her grandmother who lovingly raised her, Reginia May Ashbrook; two grandchildren, Jacob Bowery and Jessica Bowery.
