Phillip Wayne Roller, 77, passed on Monday (June 24, 2019) at Holston Valley Medical Center. Phillip was born on July 2, 1941 in Blountville, TN to the late Joseph and Emmaline (Barger) Roller.

Phillip was a dedicated employee at Strong-Robinette Bag Company & Stone Container for 25 years. After his employment he began farming full-time, which he truly enjoyed.

In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Robert Roller; three infant brothers, George, Fred, and Perry; and two sisters, Clara Dishner and Irene Hill.

Phillip is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley (Pope) Roller; son, Gregory Phillip Roller; special niece and nephew, Edward Dishner & Margaret Oliver; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday (June 27, 2019) from 12 to 2 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Phillip will be laid to rest following the visitation on Thursday (June 27, 2019) at Gunnings Cemetery with Rev. Rex McMurray officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your church or a charity of your choice.

Phillip Wayne Roller was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Phillip will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

Phillip Wayne Roller, 77, passed on Monday (June 24, 2019) at Holston Valley Medical Center. Phillip was born on July 2, 1941 in Blountville, TN to the late Joseph and Emmaline (Barger) Roller.

Phillip was a dedicated employee at Strong-Robinette Bag Company & Stone Container for 25 years. After his employment he began farming full-time, which he truly enjoyed.
