

Randall “Who” Cavin, age 52, of Piney Flats, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at his residence. He was a Sullivan County native and the son of Ray and Gail Cavin of Kingsport. Mr. Cavin was a graduate of Sullivan West High School and retired from Tennessee Eastman as a mechanic in the water treatment plant. He was of the Baptist faith and was an avid hunter and billiards player.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: George and Ethel Cavin and Jessie and Della Barnes, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survivors other than his parents, include his brother, David Brian Cavin; sisters: Ellen Cavin Cox and husband Paul and Tami Cavin Southerland and husband Lyndell; nephews: Holden Cavin, Cal Southerland and Jon Cox; niece, Ceaira Byington and husband Jeremiah; great niece, Skyy Byington; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his hunting buddy, Jimmy Carter and the members and his friends at the American Pool Players Association of Kingsport.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Danny Dolan, officiating. The graveside service will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Wade Cavin, Reggie Cavin, Ricky Bear, Terry Hutson, Scott Hutson, Kenneth Atkins, Jason Light and Billy Skeens. Honorary pallbearers are Holden Cavin, Cal Southerland, Jon Cox, Shannon Cavin, Mike Cavin and Trae Crawford.
