The first day I met this wonderful, funny, loving and “ornery “ lady I loved her. Retha asked me who I was, I said “ I am Terri from Avalon and I am here to bathe you”. She threatened me bodily harm if I tried and I told her it was on. I then told her that she had a choice....a cold bathe, a hot bathe or the pressure washer and scrub brush in my car. What was it going to be? Retha just laughed and said “I love you”. From then on we laughed a lot, kidded with each other every time we were together and shared wonderful memories of her life. Retha always talked about her family with pride and love. Robert and her children were her life, and she made you feel like you were part of that family. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you. Thank you for allowing me to come into your home and care for Retha. For that I feel truly blessed. It was an honor! Just rememer that we are here for all of you ❤️❤️

My best Memory recently was about 4 Days before Mommy Passed. Pop, Moma and Me were the Only Ones there. She put her Hand on My Cheek, I said: You are My Girl. She said No I’m Your Mommy and You are My Girl. ❤️ I Love You, Love You, Love You. To Her this was the most She could Love. ❤️ This was so Special to Me❤️

Saddened by the loss of a special friend. She was always a joy to be with. I will always remember her with a smile on her face. Our children grew up together and played sports together. She was a charter member of SRA and was a great supporter of kids. She received a member of the year award in 1983. She was a very special lady. May God comfort the whole family and bless each and every one with good memories of Retha.
