

Rick Allen Winkle, 57, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015, at his home with his family. Mr. Winkle was born on March 14, 1957 in Kingsport, Tennessee, the son of the late Leonard Winkle and Nina Rae McCracken Winkle Kelley. He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration. He was Vice President of Electronic Banking at Citizens Bank where he had worked for twenty-one years. Mr. Winkle was of the Presbyterian Faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Winkle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Stella McCracken and Herbert Winkle and Della Winkle Scalf.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-two years, Lisa Estepp Winkle; two sons, Garrett T. Winkle and Griffin S. Winkle; step father, Gene Kelley; step brother, Jeff Kelley; step sister, Dana Kelley McEntire; aunt, Shelby Winkle Roberts and husband Ralph; and uncle, Larry Winkle.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 19, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mr. Rick Allen Winkle will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 7:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Grover Starnes officiating. Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11:00am in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rob Childress, Ronnie Carrol, Terry Roop, Tim Broyles, Roger Davis, Tim Colbaugh, Dennis Fields and Jeff Kelley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005. The family would like to say a special thanks to all the staff of Citizens Bank for all their love and care during Mr. Winkle’s illness.
