Riley Allen Quiggle, age 15, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Riley was born on November 11, 2010, and attended West Ridge High School. With his infectious smile and outgoing personality, he had an incredible gift for bringing joy to everyone around him. Baseball was not just a sport for Riley; it was his passion, and he devoted countless hours to developing his skills, often sharing his love for the game with those close to him. He also excelled in football, where his remarkable athleticism was shown. Riley shared an incredibly close bond with his sister, Teagan. Their relationship was a beautiful friendship that went beyond sibling ties, filled with cherished moments that they both treasured. An adventurous soul, Riley found solace and happiness on the water, where he loved boating and fishing. He was a devoted Star Wars fan with a love for various types of music that reflected his vibrant life. Above all, Riley deeply valued the time spent with his friends and family, as these connections brought him true joy and fulfillment, creating a foundation of laughter and beautiful shared memories that will always be remembered.
Riley is preceded in death by his grandmother, Heather Mellons.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Michael & Brittany Quiggle; sister, Teagan Quiggle; grandparents, Wes Quiggle, Charles Hurt, Michael & Patty Mellons; Larry & Doris Davenport, Michael & Linda Quiggle, and Lisa King; aunts MaKayla (Dalton), Destiny (Daniel), Taylor (Samuel), Kimberly (Shane), Melissa (Chad), and Nicolette (AJ); uncles CJ (Shiane) and Josh (Mika); numerous cousins, family, biological mom Shelby Hall, and a host of great friends including those serving as pallbearers: Nash Dishner, Lucas Lyons, Alex Warner, John Thornton, Zach Morelock, Jackson Saults, Kaleb Mabb, Tanner Davenport and honorary pallbearer Ryder Hickman; who loved Riley dearly and he will forever be in their hearts.

The visitation service for friends and family will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 12:00 pm – 2:45 pm at Temple Baptist Church; 2200 Memorial Ct, Kingsport. The funeral service to celebrate Riley’s life will follow at 3:00 pm with Dr. David Luster officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park: Garden of Apostles.
