

Robert K. Brown, age 69 entered into rest, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Indian Path Medical Center. He was born in Bluff City and had lived in the Kingsport area for over 40 years. Robert retired from Sprint with 38+ years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the Tennessee National Guard. Robert was a member of the Communication Workers of America and the Sullivan County Bass Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie K. and Audrey Ella Carrier Brown. Robert is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debbie Gambrell Brown of Kingsport; one son, Allen Ramey of Greeneville; three grandchildren, Victoria Ketron of Kingsport, Megan Pine of Dandridge, Lacy Green of Greenback; one brother Phil Brown and wife Barbara of Bluff City; sister-in-law Lynn Noe of Kingsport; and his beloved dog, R.J.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow in the chapel at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be family, friends, co-workers and his fishing buddies.
