Robert Donald Kilgore

Robert Donald Kilgore, age 79, of Kingsport, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Indian Path Medical Center. He was born in Scott Co., Va on May 26, 1931, living in Kingsport for most of his life. A veteran of the Korean War, he also worked for Mason Dixon for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Boyd Kilgore, mother, Mary Innis Kilgore, brother, Leland Howard Kilgore.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Edita Kilgore, step-daughter Mrs. Romina Kilgore Baker and husband Brian, son, Charles David Kilgore, sister, Mrs. Shirley Sluss and husband Harry, Mrs. Reba Klepper and husband Wayne, brother, Larry Douglas Kilgore and wife Noverta and Wayne Kilgore, sisters-in-law Susie King, Cynthia King, and Ruby Kilgore, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 5-7pm at East Lawn Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Military graveside services will be Friday, October 1, 2010 at East Lawn Memorial Park at 3pm with family and friends gathering at the graveside by 2:45pm.
