

Robert was a loving father whose memory will be forever cherished and lives on with his children Alison Grace York and William Andrew York.
His memory is also continued with his father James York, stepmother Darlene York, and step sister Jammie Foster of Morristown, TN.
Robert was greeted in heaven by his beloved grandparents James "Ted" York and Gladys York.
Born in Texas, Robert rightfully was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and proudly supported the team. Robert enjoyed trivia, darts, vintage Volkswagons, and spending time with his friends and family. Robert was honored to have traveled all over the world serving his country with pride in the United States Navy aboard the USS Belleau Wood.
Robert spent most of his career working in the culinary arts. Cooking was an an expression of love and an act of service for him. He truly enjoyed what he did and his talents blessed many throughout his career.
Robert was employed by Pals in Kingsport and Courtyards Senior Living in Johnson City. He will be missed by his family, many friends, and co-workers who will cherish the impact he has on their lives.

Graveside service Friday January 27, 2023 at 11 am at Mt. Home National Cemetery in Johnson City TN. Military honors provided by American Legion post #256 & #3. Bob Underwood to officiate the graveside service.
