OBITUARY
Ronald Curtis Miller
March 16, 1959 – January 2, 2021
To our wonderful Kingsport friends and family,
We regret to inform you today of the passing of an incredible member of our community, Ron Miller, owner of CompuWorld Systems, known for his dedication to his church and his family and, most especially, his loving service to everyone he met.
Ron was born on March 16, 1959 in Louisiana to the late Earley M. and Rosalie Walker Miller. He grew up in Richmond, VA and attended Virginia Tech where he met his wife Cheryl at the Wesley Foundation. Ron loved to travel with his family and had a special fondness for national parks as well as for mission trips with Mafair UMC.
Ron was a wonderful husband and proud father, brother, uncle, and, most recently, grandpa. His passing leaves behind his wife Cheryl Cuskey Miller, daughters Beth Miller Ball and her husband Jonathan; Rachel Tisdale, her husband Justin, and their daughters Anna and Chloe; and Emily Miller, his brother Carl Miller and wife Debbie, his sister Chris Trent and husband George, and almost too many nieces and nephews to count.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Mafair United Methodist Church, 1409 E Center Street, Kingsport, TN 37664.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40

Cheryl, Beth, Rachel and Emily -
I so wish I could have been there physically with you today, but you are all in my mind and heart. Ron is one of the best men I have ever known and we are so lucky to have been able to call him family. The legacy he leaves is all of you, and Jonathan and Justin and those beautiful little girls. Cuskey Northwest is here for you and sending love and prayers across the country. Distance means nothing to the heart - whether physical or spiritual, we are all still together.
Love to all of you, Carrie

Cheryl, Michele and I were so shocked and saddened to hear about Ron. He was such a great guy who loved and served the Lord. He patiently spent so much time training me to be Treasurer those many years ago. Michele remembers scrubbing taters and chopping onions with him for Missions’ fundraisers. You and the family are in our prayers.

The Carl Miller family in Richmond has lost a dear brother and uncle. We are at a loss for words to say how much he will be missed. Being a fellow Hokie was great but being a brother in Christ was the greatest. Our prayers for grace, mercy, and peace are with you Cheryl, Beth, Rachel and Emily.

I was able to meet Ron professionally and through our mutual involvement with a tight-knit bicycling group. Ron's computer business came to my rescue several times when our i-pad and laptop needed fixing. He had been referred to me by church friends who claimed he had the skill and know-how to fix anything. He was able to resurrect my technical items!
Ron was focused on benefitting others. It was also clear how deeply he valued Cheryl and their daughters. He will be missed and always highly regarded as a man of integrity whose commitment to making life better for those in his circle of influence never wavered.
When reading this bible verse, Ron comes to mind:
Proverbs 10:7
"The memory of the righteous is a blessing..."

He was so proud of his family and spoke so highly of all of you-I can’t imagine how much you will miss him. Please know that the thoughts and prayers of many will surround you during this very sad time.

Ron is someone I will truly miss. He was quick to include me in the Men's prayer breakfast and to encourage me through the Experiencing God class he led. He was a wonderful man and a blessing to all who knew him. His faith shown like a brilliant light and his love of God was never hidden from anyone. Our daily prayers are with his family.

Ron was a man of vision and a man Mafair will miss. I will miss him at our men's breakfast at Perkin's, from his many mission trips in helping others and love for his family and his love for his employees. Ron was a man of God and he knew that the Holy Spirit was part of his life. He brought to Mafair many talents including leading a session by Henry and Richard Blackaby 's "Experiencing God" It has been a honor knowing Ron Miller. My prayers are with his family. Larry Smith
