Ruby Pauline Ball
October 29, 1927 – May 7, 2013
“She fought the good fight, kept the faith, and finished the course” 2 Timothy 4:7 Ruby Pauline Ball, age 85, entered into rest May 7, 2013 at Wexford House. She was a native of Deskins, VA and had lived in Kingsport since 1959. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Starlin and Maude Lester Boyd; husband of 58 years, James Roscoe Ball; several brothers and sisters. She was a homemaker and member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church for 51 years. Survivors include two sons, Steven L. Ball and wife Sandra K., Mike D. Ball and wife Donna; daughter, Paula Ball all of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Jamie Doran, Dustin Ball, Jennifer Ketron, Jessica Franks, Rachel Free; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Boyd and wife Blanche of Tazewell, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. today, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Aunt Pauline always had a big smile, welcome you in their home, no one was a stranger. She had a big heart and was loved by all. She is now reunited with her husband and family at the foot of Christ.
