Ruby Louise Hilton

Mrs. Hilton was born July 24, 1920 to Clint and Mattie Wilson Pullon. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend to many. She showered all those around her with the love of Jesus. She was a busy homemaker, an avid gardener, canner, quilter, and cook. She was a devoted believer and member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church. While Mrs. Hilton touched many lives, those who will miss her most are her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kermit C. Hilton, daughters Shelby Sammons, and Annette Lichlyter, son-in-law Carl Lichlyter, and great grand-daughter Grace Schnelle.

Mrs. Hilton is survived by one son, Harold “Buddy” Hilton, daughter Charlotte Louise Sampson (and her husband Lonnie), daughter Mary Joyce Brooks, and son-in-law Charles Sammons, all of Blountville, Tennessee. Surviving grandchildren are Tracy Sammons, Douglas Hilton, Aaron Lichlyter, Missy Mize, Stacey Vandergriff, Travis Sampson, Malinda Hilton McCracken, and Tonja Schnelle, as well as several cherished great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at East Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00am at East Lawn Funeral Home with graveside services immediately following

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Amedysis Hospice for the gentle care provided to Mrs. Hilton during her final days.
