Shirley Osborne, of Kingsport, 80, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at her daughter’s home after a period of declining health. She was born on October, 24, 1939 in Dickenson County, VA and was the daughter of the late Walter Scott and Ruth Salyer. She was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Osborne; daughter, Teresa Osborne; and brothers, Darrell Salyer and Lewis Salyer.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Hoots and husband Andrew and Janet Bennett and husband Steven; granddaughters, Sarah Roller and husband Ryan and Jordane Kilgore and husband Josh; grandson Benjamin Bennett; sister, Rita Matthews; and brothers, Joe Salyer and Gary Salyer.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of David. Jerome Frandle and Robert Bishop will be officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darnell Kilgore, Jim White, Thomas Hoots, and Hoover Galloway.

I knew Shirley when my husband, Joe, and I would go to Knoxville,TN for convention. She was such a sweet gentle person. She and I had the same inner ear problem.. and I want to say.. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a dear. So thankful she kept true. ..Joyce
