

She was born on December 23, 1940, in Konnarock, Virginia to the late Albert L. and Beulah Pennington Haga. Shirley retired from Marley Moldings after over 40 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Kenneth Teaster and three brothers, Scott Haga, Bobby Haga, and Ronnie Haga.
Left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter and caregiver, Pam Teaster (Thad Moore), two grandchildren and their spouses, Josh Sheets and wife Nomi and Andrea Gross and husband Shawn; nine great-grandchildren who were the joys of her life, Oakly Sheets, Ari Sheets, Regan Sheets, Piper Gross, Ellie Sheets, Josie Sheets, Bodie Gross, Owen Gross, and Kym Sexton; special aunt, Kathleen Anderson; special nephew, Rick Teaster and wife Lynn; special niece, Angie Wright and husband Travis. Shirley is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Nikki Roland for her love, care, and support during the last months of our mom and Mamaw’s illness.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. at Wassum Cemetery in Atkins, Virginia with Reverend Jonathan Hamman officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 3:45 P.M.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Society or a charitable cause of your choice that supports those battling cancer.
