November 20, 1944 – May 13, 2020

Stacy Lee Price was born on November 20, 1944, in Blountville, TN to Carl and Maxie Rodefer. She graduated from Blountville High School in 1963. After high school, she went to work at the Kingsport Press where she worked for 43 years.

On December 7, 1963, Stacy married the love of her life, Aubrey Price. Aubrey and Stacy had one son, Stephen Duane that they adored. She was a member at Gunnings Baptist Church. Stacy enjoyed going to car shows with Aubrey and their good friends, Kenny and Denise Rodefer from Ohio, riding around seeing the country, sewing, making jewelry, taking care of her roses, and baking her family’s favorite sourdough bread. Of course, her favorite thing to do was to spoil her granddaughters, Stephenie and Courtney.

Stacy was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey; parents, Carl and Maxie Rodefer; in-laws, Willard and Ollie Price; daughter-in-law, Becky Brown Price; brother, Luther Rodefer; and niece, Kim Walters.

Those left to cherish Stacy’s memory are her son, Stephen; granddaughter, Stephenie Griffith and husband Andrew; granddaughter, Courtney Lawson and husband Aaron; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Camden, and Anniston Kate Lawson; sisters, Betty Rodefer, Janette Rodefer, Velma Williams and husband Ralph; sister-in-law, Janice Greene and Allen, sister-in-law, Ettie Mae Rodefer; special family friend, Shana Price; nieces, great nieces, and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of the Well on Saturday (May 16, 2020) at 10:00 am with Pastor Bob Ferguson officiating.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of The Village at Allandale and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (322 Eighth Ave. New York, NY 10001; www.alzfdn.org; (866) 232-8484).
